Merchands, Pilgrims & The Deathman

Cologne in the Middle Ages

Cologne was in the middle ages one of the most important metropolises in Europe. It was a trading and a religious center. Merchands and pilgrims form all over Europe came to the city.

Hear more about the 'good old times' during this entertaining tours.

You will learn about, how the city made a lot of money with the remains of sacred virgins, how an inquisitor became the patron of the brewers of Cologne and why the people started to build the most impressive cathedral of the world and many other stories.

Unfortunately there are not to many buildings remaining from these days. But I will show you some of the places and tell you great stories from these (dark?) times.

The tour takes approx. 90 minutes.
